Before SheShark was even an idea, there was just one girl - Malika - determined to pave her own way in the world of business and tech.
Malika’s journey didn’t start with a perfect resume or a straight-line career.
It started at AIESEC, an international youth leadership organization, where she first stepped into business development - managing opportunities, connecting talent to internships, and building real-world skills one step at a time.
Later, she took her ambition further, joining Tata Consultancy Services, one of the largest IT companies in India, where she worked in customer experience, delivered IT support, and got her first real taste of the tech industry.
But the real journey?
It started after that, when Malika decided to chase her dream to become a Business Development Manager in tech.
It was tough, 3 months, almost 80 interviews, hundreds of applications, impressive numbers of rejections, and also, getting the offers and leaving those companies a month or even 2 days later, when they didn’t fit.
It wasn’t glamorous. It was messy, tiring, and sometimes heartbreaking. But it was real.
And eventually, she made it.
Malika is now a full-time remote Business Development Manager at a fintech company, specializing in B2B SaaS sales for brokers worldwide.
Because no one should have to figure it all out alone.
